    anybody ever seen this before?

    http://www.bigbuddyperformance.com/holo.htm

i saw an ad in a magazine somewhere, figured i'd check it out. it basically uses sensors to operate the gauges, which are then projected via a reflected red digital display to a point just above the dashboard. has a tach, oil pressure, vaccuum/boost, water temp, voltmeter, programmable shift lights (for those with manual trannies), nitrous arming/release lights, as well as the ability to hook up other gauges with plug-in units and log data to download onto your PC. not a bad little item, methinks. Corvettes come standard with 'em (not this particular one, but they have their own HUD system). Cadillac is also supposed to get an HUD system soon. thoughts/opinions?

they don't have an advertised price, i emailed them just now about it.

I have seen aftermarket HUD displays available. They generally are expensive $500 or so.

They should work on our cars.

yup, comes with all the sensors needed. you can also get more gauges for the display, like a speedometer, exhaust temp, etc. they come separately.
