• Question about fuel injection performance...

I have about $400 to spend on performane upgrade on my 3.4L '95 camaro. At first i had decided on a new exhause system, however i recently came across the following product (copy and paste the link):

http://www.rksport.com/rkstore/dept....sid=&x=24&y=13

It is for HP fuel injectors. Now any exhaust system for my car i figure will add around 10 to 15 horses (at the max) to my car, while these injections claim the following: "Venom 400 Engine Controls are performance add on modules connecting to the existing vehicle control. Improves horsepower by as much as 25%! by increasing fuel flow by 10%...just check out the link above. Either my math is fuzzy, or that comes to be around 40 extra horses for around $335. Is this really legit? if so is there any catch? Anyone with personal experience or any knowledge about the subject i would greatly appreciate info on the subject, seeing as i want the most bang for the buck.

Thanks in advance,
Justin

False advertisement - unless your vehicle is currently fuel starved due to forced induction or nitrous or for some other reason, you won't gain a thing from this. Its just like people upgrading their ignition systems - you can't get better with spark or fuel unless it was improperly mixed or didnt go boom in the first place

The Venom 400 PCM is a piece of **** so I'm guessing that this is too. Venom does accually make a few good products though, so you never know.

If you want to do injectors, summit sells a set of 8 19lb injectors for like $100 (maybe a bit more, it's been a while). 19lb injectors shouldn't be too much of a difference for the PCM to handle.
When I had my 3.4, I was looking at putting those on because the engine seemed to run out of steam at the top end, and I figured it was due to not being able to get enough fuel out.
As to increasing your fuel pressure, that will work for a bit, but then the PCM will adjust the injector rate until it drops the fuel output to compensate. Same thing with putting bigger injectors on, they will flow more, but the PCM will compensate for them.
Where bigger injectors, or more fuel pressure, will help is where the PCM is commanding the injectors to stay open basically all of the time (high rpm), but still can't get enough gas into the engine.
