  • MSD coil packs

Are the MSD coils worth the money on a 99 V6? Will they improve power, or make the engine run better.

    Thanks for your time!

    Re: MSD coil packs

do some searching it all depends is what people are seeing on the dyno, but in theory a hotter spark should make more power and make your car run smother.

                Re: MSD coil packs

Well, Summit is a name you can trust as it hasn't seized to amaze people for many years, and no doubt for many years to come. Though, for coil packs I would go with the MSD's unless you find a review where someone compares them to the MSD's or makes the statement from proven facts that they are somewhat better than the MSD's.

I guess really you should just do a good bit of research and find as many reviews/testimonials about the product, but base your decision off of cold hard facts, not just opinions. Some people will base their opinion off of what they want to believe, not always is it accurate to what the outcome really is.

                        Re: MSD coil packs

They are, but without changing the plugs and wires along with them, you won't even notice a difference. That's my opinion, however.

But, if you are thinking about getting them, you might as well go ahead and do it, because they are better and you will have to change your plugs and wires eventually.
