Anyone know what code 36 (24x signal error) references? I bought an Auto Xray and this code was in the history and current error log.

I'm not sure about for the 3.4 becuase I do not have experiece with them, but for the 3.8 and the 5.7's that is an error code for the DIS(Faulty High resolution pulse or extra low resolution pulse.) Most of the codes are all the same between the 3.4 3.8 and 5.7 so I assume that your error may lie with the ignition system somewhere. For the 3.4 the error code is listed in a Chiltons just as you had writen it, 24X signal circuit error.

I did some more digging now becuase my curiosity got to me.
The error code 36(24x signal error) on a 3.4 f-body can mean that the crankshaft position sensor or circuit is faulty.
This error is listed as MAY be faulty, not is faulty, don't know why its listed that way, but it is. Anyways, good luck diagnosing the cause of this problem, cuz it does not sound simple by any means.Jared W.
