  • What the hell need some help!

Ok, well i have to rants going on here.
1st is that my car is running rich, but when i pull the plugs they come out white, as if i was running lean. Does this make any sense?
2nd is that i raced my buddy last night , he has a 94ex sohc vtec civic, We have raced many time and i always get him by around 2 cars. He has intake Headers exhuast. Now when we used to race me and him would be even outta the hole, then i would start pulling on him around 30. Now when we raced last night he got me outta the hole, i caught up, then he pulled on me, then i pulled on him, ended up dead even at 85 or so. What is wrong with my car?!?!It doesnt seem to pull nearly as hard as it used to outta the hole.. :casstet:

Any ive added new tires and LCA's and Panhard rod and 160* and fan swtich since when i last beat him.

Are you sure your LCA's are not the same. I don't think 97SS LCA's are 1LE. They should be the same as the V6's. 1...how do you know you are running rich? Maybe your new tires caused you to lose time...how broke in are they and what kind did you get?

the ss ones are a little diff by their bushings they are rounded and hardened compared to the sqaure like bushings on a v6 and z28's and formulas.
My car has been dynoed and i came out with like a 10.8 a/f

But it also seems after i had to drive home a half a hour with the back 2 spark plugs wires on the passenger side going bad on me, they were sparking off the intake manifold and totally shot, car would be ok on the highway but would barly go anywhere from a dead stop just trying to move.

And yes i put all brand new bosch spark plug wires all the way around and even on the back 2 on thr passenger side i put those taylor high temp boot covers.

Do you think something could have went wrong when the plug wires were going bad
And i installed them all correctly too.

I have heard bad reviews about bosch's on our cars. Most people don't like them. I can't say everyone but most. As long as you replaced the wires and plugs you should be ok. Did it set a SES light and if it did...did you get it cleared?

You can...but make sure you drive it for at least 20 minutes so that the computer can do its thing before racing again. I don't know what to tell you.
