  • When getting help in General Tech/Advanced Tech

Hey everyone, I just have a favor to ask if it isn't too much trouble.

Since I'm somewhat new to the mechanic scene for the Firebirds/Camaro's, I was wondering if people that start a thread asking for advice for a problem with their vehicle could always come back later when the problem is fixed and post what fixed it.

Reason I ask is because I am making a rather large encyclopedia of troubleshooting for the 3.4 and 3.8 Firebird/Camaro. This way I can know what the possible problem is if I ever have the problem myself, or I can better answer people's questions on the forums if they ever come asking about the same problem that has already been solved once before from someone else.

I appreciate all that help in this little project of mine, so a big thanks to all of you. :)

Yeah, I have noticed the same questions over and over. It took me 2 days after registering to be approved by the admins.

Am I the only one who read the stickies about the rules and guidelines about posting questions and searching first? Or do people just want to get things the easy way?

My vote is for the second thought, I know I hate searching for things sometimes, especially when I know there are other people well qualified to answer the question for me hanging around the message board.

And as for the post whore, umm ok. :)

people are just to lazy or don't know how to use the search function even though most the stuff they ask can be answered instantly by a search.

peeps need to be more specific when they search, that should keep from getting 200 (default max) returns on a search where only, maybe, 15 threads have what they looking for.

<--- sees this getting more towards website stuff, but still good info.

Good idea, but never happen. Just like ppl asking what mods to do for there car first. Such is the nature of the vBulletin.
