    Re: Heat

i wake up... and i go and start my car after getting dressed... i keep the heat off completly and go back inside and brush teeth and so on...

after i get ready, i go back out and my engine is warm so i just open up the blower, it feels good to know my engine isnt running as cold or is being run hard.

(i live in ohio, and yes... it is cold here)

Lol i dont no much about it but its not the exhaust itself. my dad told me that his friend had one and it had like a pipe in the car and you take off the lid and heat comes out of the pipe. Sounds retarded to me lol

        Re: Heat

I did the space heater thing for several years and it worked great. Use a ceramic heater because they don't get as hot. Just be very conscientious that it's upright and not aimed directly at anything before you leave the car. I had mine on a timer to start 3 hours before using the car each morning. A warm comfy car and frost free windows each morning was a great thing.

small airplanes have a shroud around the muffler to warm the cabin when its cold. Just make sure theres no cracks in the pipe. that could be bad. lol

            Re: Heat

Mostly everyone in Alaska has block heaters and auto starts. Two go things to make it warm up quicker.

Neither of my camaros have a block heater or auto start. My Z sits in the garage and gets used maybe once a week so no need for one, but the other one sits outside and I cover it which helps keep the heat inside.
