i have a stopper plate from a 1984-1988 Kawasaki GPZ 600 gear box. It's the right with humps for the gears, and it sits on one end of the shift drum. I was wondering if you guys can help me guess what kind of material the part is made out of? here's a picture:
I am thinking it's cast iron... but honestly i have no clue. It's attracted to magnets, so there's iron in it.
The tensile strength is about 908MPa or 131.8 kilo psi.
