• Air/Fuel ratio gauge

I got an autometer air/fuel gauge and i hooked it up to one of the stock o2 sensors. Is that what im supposed to do or am I supposed install a separate o2 sensor? About half of the leds on the gauge light up at the same time while im driving. Is that normal?

When idle its in the yellow. If i floor it or give it some gas it goes to the red leds.

I hooked it up to the o2 sensor. It only has one wire so thats the one i hooked it up to. I used the drivers side sensor. How come you have it hooked up to the TB. I though you supposed to hook it up to one of the o2 sensors.

You all might want to switch your connection to the O2 just before the cat. Looking at one side will do nothing if the other starts having a problem. Right now you are only looking at 3 cyl.

Lightning,
Why would you hook it up to the TB. You will always get a good reading there. All that does is give you the reading of the air coming in. Disconnect it and connect into the O2 just before the cat after the Y-pipe.

The one before the cat is the one "I" have it hooked into. If i can find my sheets i can tell you exactly which wire it is coming out of the computer. Ill start looking for them.

Thanks for all your help so far guys.

Jason, I have a 3.4L camaro. Would it be the same for both cars since you have a 3.8? If not where would i be able to find out which wire it is?

3.4's only have 2 O2 sensors. One on each manifold or header. The 3800 series II has 3 O2's. One on each manifold or header and one just before the cat.

I'm sorry Dragon I did not see that you had a 3.4. A toggle switch hooked up to both O2's is what a lot of people do. That way you could look at both banks with the flip of a switch. That's what I would do in your situation. Good luck
