  • Engine overheat?

Hey all, today my car was overheating a bit but didnt stay hot it just jumped from 190 to 250 or so then went back down then back up. Kinda frustrating cause if it were thermostat wouldnt it stay hot all the time? Same thing if it was a head gasket or something right? What do you guys think before I start spending money.

Mine did that and the fluid was low. Check that first.
