  • next mod?

Hey All, I've just started up work again (school robotics project is out of the way now) so im starting to bring in some money...just having a REALLY hard time deciding on the next mod.....

Ive got an SLP loudmout catback on my car and a home-made intake (cut off the blocky hood latch assembly for that ram air effect and then raised air box, replaced one of the baffles with an ebay one and replaced the resonator with some 3" ABS piping...) but i want to know what to save up for now, dont want to wait too long no SC comments please...im thinkin around 800$ max...ive heard that headers arent worth the money but ive got an auto and am considering a TC... any advice?

    have though about the following:

    Headers and Hi-Flo Cat?
    Cam?
    Torque Converter?
    Eibach Suspension?
    Aftermarket intake (Non homemade)?

definately want performance with my next big purchase...please give any advice at all, will be making a descision VERY soon based on your responses!!!!!
    thanks guys

I would go with the headers or maybe a gear upgrade to 3.42 with LSD if you don't already have one.

i would say go with 3.42/LSD and a torque connverter, between 2800-3200 and a tranny cooler, that should hold u off for a while. and with that your gonna need some help in the rear susp. dept. to keep from having wheel hop, like lca's.

I would go suspension before engine. Engine mods really won't affect your performance THAT much. Suspension is A LOT more fun in my opinion. Do I have either? no. But I have a few friends who go on canyon runs all of the time with their tricked out suspension and it's a blast!

After I put my headers on I was completely satisfied with my decision to buy them.
My vote goes for headers...it'll make your loudmouth sound awesome as well as give you power.
Also I praise the whisper lid...it was my first mod and I LOVED it. It really woke my car up...try and find one cheap if you can and slap that on with headers...you'll be lovin it.

I say go with the Eibach, horspower is nothing if you can't keep your car on the road.

When we're talking about the horsepower that our cars are making....you can keep it on the road

If your car can not breath how do you expect it to run better.

I agree, I am currently upgrading my exhast and air intake. Headers are on order, Flowmaster installed. Have the flowmaster 3" piping in my garage waiting on a Catco high flow which I am buying this week. Once I get my headers on, I'll switch to 3" piping with the high flow cat. A firend may build me a customer CAI.

Once you finish off that, depending on how your car handles on the road I would get new rear gears then suspension OR visversa.

I would suggest upgrading the front sway bar if you like to take corners fast (big improvment after I upgraded).

                  Just my 2 cents....
