the headliner in my hardtop (non t-top car) is starting to sag. its coming loose in the middle on both sides of the bar. is there something i can do to fix this w/o cutting the fabric and putting glue under it? i noticed it 2 weeks ago and its getting worse every couple of days. i gotta figure out something soon here before it gets too bad and needs replaced. thanks

The simple truth is it is terminal. The foam padding under GM headliners eventually dissolves, evaporates, turns to dust - whatever, it eventually goes away.
You can re-glue it, but the problem will not go away. I'd try patching it until it becomes too bad looking. The replace the whole headliner.
On my 3rd gen, I used staples for a while (yeah, pretty dopey - but quick)- it bought me a few months.
Here's a discussion of replacing headliners if you want to do it yourself:

by ssms5411Had to be evacuated Monday again after a fire was going on the hill behind us. Only 3-4 hours, they did a good job getting it under control. Especially...2 weeks ago
