    1996 3.8 camaro
so my ses light has been on for that last 4 months b/c of EVAP...i did research and know that it's a fuel vapor leak...

is there anyway to find the leak without taking the car to a shop?

if it helps i was going 125 then the light popped on and has been on ever since

      Re: Evap Help

i read it can only be a few things (gas cap, canister, fuel line)

so would by it happening when i was pushing it hard make anyone more likely?

i'm real short on $$$ and really don't want to take it in

        Re: Evap Help

Electrical tape over and around the 'Service Engine Soon' light on the dash is a cheap, easy, and effective fix.

yeah, that will work. Who cares if potentially combustible gas fumes are leaking. :)

            Try this first.
Go to my post at the bottom with the picture. Not saying that it will definately be the problem, but it's easy to check.
