Re: Changing fuel filter and pcv valve
pull the fuse for your fuel pump. Then hit the starter for a few seconds. Your car won't start, but what your doing is releasing the fuel pressure in the lines. This way when to remove your filter you won't get covered in gas. A little tip. I bought one of those fuel filter wrenches at pep boys. It makes getting the output side of the filter off much easier.69 Camaro 350 4spd, Full Hotchkis susp, Baer brakes, moser 12 bolt, Flowmaster

96 RS Hotchkis STB, subframe connectors, Hotchkis LCA and adj Panhard rod, SS camaro sway bars, Bilstein shocks, powerslot rotors, Borla exhaust, rksport headers, k@nFIPK

Re: Changing fuel filter and pcv valve
pull the pump relay and start the car until it dies. pulling off the gas cap doesnt work. :)

Re: Changing fuel filter and pcv valve
do both taking off the gas cap relieves the pressure inside the tank keeping it from pushing the fuel out and pulling the fuse or relay and letting it die relieves the pressure in the lines youll still spill some fuel but it will be less than if you didnt

Re: Changing fuel filter and pcv valve
yea, black plate on pass side of upper intake, two bolts... remove the bolts, and pull out the pcv valve, a spring will come out with it, put the new one in with the spring tighten back down... very simple.Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
Custom interior...
