  • Annoying question.

Okay, I've been trying to figure this out, I couldn't.

Sometimes while I'm driving, under quicker acceleration, or if I hit a big bump, something under my car comes up and hits the bottom of it and I can't figure it out. I can feel it in my pedals ( clutch, brake, and accelerator ) when it hits, and it feels like it's near the transmission. When I had it on the lift once, at muffler brothers, the guy looked at my tranny and driveshift and pushed up next to the carrier bearing ( where the 2 peices meet ) and lifted up. It lifted the whole driveshaft, and part of the transmission, and that's the only thing I can think of that keeps hitting. If it is, does anyone know how to fix this problem, it's HIGHLY irritating.

    Do I need a new driveshaft? ...

or could it be some tranny mounts loose?

        Re: Annoying question.

My dad's got an auto '94 Z28 and his car was doing the same thing when the tranny mount went. So I agree, tranny mount.

would this be apart of the reason why tonight I just started hearing a clicking on the driver's side? It sounds like something is hitting, not around the motor but like, next to the driver's side part of the down pipe? where's the tranny mount located?
