    does anyone know what the recomended gap distance is for the sparks? its a 99 3.8

      I do!:) Just another reason to buy a chiltons too, it tells you everything.

              .06 gap, does it matter if they're standard plugs or iridium? I've got a 2000 3.8 V6 Firebird, not going to be spraying, but thought I'd ask.

                If you want to spend the extra money and if they will last longer so you don't have to changed them for along time then its up to you.

                  Good thing we aren't going by a blue print drawing. .06 is plus or minus .02.

                    Some guys run NGK TR55's which are .055 gap N/A and like them also.

                      Usually when you buy them they would already have been gapped for you depending on the brand though.

                      But .06 with a -/+ .02 seems to be the cardinal rule.
