Hey everybody, first off let me appologize if this is a repost, I did search but I couldn't find anything that I was looking for. Last summer, my father and I replaced the engine and transmission (3.8 automatic) in my 97' Camaro. It took us about to a week to smooth everything out, but since then the car has been running great with no issues, except one. In the front of the car, there is a really annoying squeak/chirping sound that comes in whenever I hit a bump, or put the engine under any load at all. However, the second I let off of the gas, the noise just stops completely. I really can't think of what this would be, when we put the motor and tranny in we bought 2 brand new motor mounts and a new transmission mount. None of the heat shields seem out of place either, so I'm stumped. Has anybody out there had this problem, or know what it could be?

Re: Squeak in the front of the car...
I already tested to see if the a/c had anything to do with it, but it's there reguardless if it's turned on or off. I had also wondered if it was a bushing, but I just don't know. It wasn't there when the old engine and tranny were in the car, it came the same time the new engine and transmission were put in. I'm just stumped... thank you all for your input though, I do appretiate it.
