  • Car heating up fast??

I have a 96 3.8 auto that seems to heat up pretty quickly (alot faster than my 3.4) Normal crusing at say 50 for maybe 20 minutes or so gets the temp gauge a little over half (usally). Is that normal? it seems a little hot for a car in the middle of NJ winter. thanks

20 min of any car running will heat it up all the way just about, esp. on highway speeds.

it will heat up your car to where the thermostat is. i have a 170 stat, so i know my car gets just above 160 all the time, winter or summer.
