then he would have to buy a 97 pcm which would cost even more though. I haven't heard to many people say the sim didn't work. Maybe you had a defective one or something.
it will be worth it. whether mine was defective or not it was like pullin teeth with trying to return it. i could return it and they would inspect it yada yada not worth my time. got it tuned out instead

they are 10 minutes down the road from me. :) Any problems they see me in person, lol
Your car would not be exempt from any of those laws. It's too new and came with all of the equipment stock.
well duh of course my 96 is to new but im talkin bout older cars like say an 83 trans am? its now 25 years old and i was told any car 25 or older is exempt cuz im really lookin into gettin a 83 or 82 trans am or firebird to fix up and i wanna know if emissions would be exempt since its 25 years old
Well duh it wouldve helped to clarify that. Sorry my mindreading skills aren't up to par. I thought it was any car built prior to sometime in the early 70's that was exempt. If you have emissions test in tx then call one of the centers that does the tests and they can tell you. If you don't have the tests then who cares get rid of all that crap.
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.
well i actually asked a guy at a shop that does inspections and all he said was a car can be 25 years or older to be exempt but this was a few years ago too...i wouldnt doubt that u would have to have it though if it came with the car...all this stuff makes me not even wanna mess with new cars lol
That's half the fun though with new cars. Just figuring out how you can get in to them and make them read "normal" but tear the hell out of anything it comes across. A little computer tuning on new cars is doing amazing things. I saw a video of some guys that just added a K&N & tweaked the program on a new shelby and got 75 more hp. FL doesn't have the emissions guidelines, or at least they don't follow them, so I don't need to worry about it at all.

yeah he got 75hp cuz thats what the factory restricted from the car...they program cars nowadays to be the most effecient and low emission as possible even if it means giving up hp and tq so i read anyway...but ide rather have a big 455 with a carb and no emission crap on it and no restrictions:naughty:
Thats cool. It's def nice to have a big block rumbling under your foot. IDK I like being able to "program" and engnine and feel like I have more control over the parameters. Either way the goal is more HP.

ide love to see what 1 of these 93-02 f-body's would run if they had a big 455 in it or bigger i loved that red trans am on pinks that car kicked serious import *** lol
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
