Does it really matter what kind of spark plug wires i get?? i mean its either accel from autozone or msd from jegs?

unless you have a high performance set up, it doesn't really matter...just don't get the cheapos, AC Delco's will work. Performance wise, the difference between MSD SC's and other wires is not noticeable

The kid who works at my local Autozone secretly told me that the plug wires they sell are identical to the boxes labeled Bosch and Duralast. I then asked why and his reply was that they are from the same manufacturer and under a private label so Autozone can make a profit on their "own brand" if the home mechanic decides to go the cheap route. The manufacturer and Autozone participate in a win/win marketing deal.

The same old sales tactic applies in food supermarkets who sell you their own kind of white bread for example. It is usually Wonder Bread Corp. aka IBC on the East Coast that I know of who has a purchasing deal with major food chains to sell to their customers what appears to be a "cheaper" store brand. Its the same ol bread but .50 cents less lol.

depends on your car. i use the accel high temp only cause with my headers i will burn anything else up! plus i got the msd from one of those web sites that should have been made to fit my car, and they weren't even close. i like to cut to fit ones

Stock car racing magazine had a piece a few months ago about plug wires. They illustrated the difference in technology between cheap wires and the high performance ones. While you won't notice a difference in the seat, there are advantages to getting the better wires. If you aren't racing the car, then quality aftermarkets are your best bet.

that sounds more like a routing problem rather than a wire problem

I think that's why she said she makes her own that way they can be a little longer than stock thus avoiding the routing problem. The stock wires will be a tight fit against headers, burning them up, or melting them up rather.

As long as you have the right boot, and are atleast 7mm i think youd be fine.

whats wrong with the 8mm silicone taylor wires from thunderracing? they're only $40 and are precut for our engines.

I just got a set of the Taylors - which were pre cut for my car but haven't gotten to put them in yet. Where they the right length? for stock routing?
