Re: Starter Cost?
I have just changed mine couple months ago.......... i think the rebuilt ones are $150 and when you bring the core back you get $20-$30 back or the brand new ones with lifetime warranty is like $180 (no core return) ........... i went with brand new and i have to say i am really glad that i did ........... starting has been real smooth ........... go with brand new one if you plan you keep your car........

Re: Starter Cost?
You know if your the oringinal owner of the car and had it already replaced at the dealership , the cost is free, should have a lifetime warranty. This goes for starters, altenators, ac compressors, water pumps and theirs a few others. I 've had a couple of ac compressors and 1 alt , 2 water pumps 2 starters replaced already. If you take it to a different G.M. dealersship that didn't do the work the cost is 50.00. I had eveything replaced before my warranty ran out. Should be some ** by the parts that are lifetime. I've had my car since Nov. 1995.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine
