so my car is doing this wierd thing at about 1500 to 2000 rpms in 4th. I'll be driving along and all of the sudden it wants to drop the rpms its almost like when I try to pass the motor stutters.Help please my car is a 1998 3.8 auto.

Ya the ses light came on after about a month of this. I have a nieghbor who is going to check for codes tomorrow so I dk about codes. And the ses light flashed the other day so ithad a miss in one of the cylinders.Comment

You are jumping to conclusions. Yes, it sounds like it Might be a misfire.
The reason for it could be alot of things (ICM, coils, spark plugs, wires, vacc leak, FP (clogged F Filter)) etc.... etc...
