Okay got the code read, and im misfiring on cylinder 2. Plug wire seems to be okay. Have not taken the plug out yet, but a friend was telling me to unplug my MAF with the car off. Then start the car and the computer will switch to SpeedDensity and then drive the car to see if I still fall on my face at throttle. If I was having misfiring issues w/ SES Light and it tells me that im misfiring on cylinder 2. Could MAF even be related?

If you unplug your MAF your going to have even more problems or rather your ses is only going to stay on because it's not sensing the MAF. The simplest thing to do is change the plug. Or depending on long it's been just do a complete tune up. Don't unplug a sensor to compensate for a $2 part.

I think he is trying to make you run in SD mode to see if the MAF is making you lean.
To check a plug wire, run the engine in the dark. See if you see any sparks coming from that wire. If you get shocked it'll tingle (dont know if you're into that sort of thing ;) )

Have you been racing? maybe plug...
Otherwise it could be the coil, ICM, etc..

How did you test the plug wire?? I think there is a way to check resitance but don't know the details off hand... anyways easy way to check is to swap plug wire #2 with plug with another, say #1... if after doing that the code stays on #2 (P0302) then it has nothing to do with plug wire; on the other hand after doing that the code moves to #1 (P0301) then it has everything to do with the plug wire..

the plug wires are just so common to go bad on the 3.8/3.4 motors and farily easy + cheap; that I always focus on them before jumping into other stuff that can get costly

it doesn't hurt that much unless your working on a boat with one foot in saltwater

I'm sure he does. Dangerous cause of all the amps.

I wouldnt say that its common for spark plug wires to go bad when you take care of them:
                1) tie them off with twist-ties
                2) protect them from the header's heat by using thermal protection
                etc
If ya dont take CARE* of them they will go bad quick

                edit: added "CARE*"

I've never had a problem with my wires/plugs going bad.......it always seems like it's the front coil pack that goes bad. And from all the threads I have read and stories I have heard about everyone else having this same problem, you think they would have did a recall on this.

And yes, it would hurt if you have one foot in salt water when checking for spark on a boat.

33k miles and not 1 bad coil
