Loss in hp / low throttle

hey just recently my car has begun to idle at 500rpm, and when I give the car some gas, the power from my engine feels like it is being held back, and comes in spurts.Also, when I go into the first stage highway passing mode(hold epdal half way untill aprox 50mph) the pedal under my foot begins to rattle and shake I drive a 94 firebird base model. Just wondering what the prioblem could be

change your spark plugs and make sure that your wires aren't burnt

Your car needs a tune up. Mainly plugs and wires, but also cleaning of the air filter (or possibly a new one) and a new fuel filter. It sounds like fuel is being withheld from reaching your engine and it comes in spurts.

If that isn't the fix, then you have probably damage an O-ring on one of your fuel injectors or they are so dirty that a few of them are sticking (clean these and replace O-rings if above remedy doesn't fix the problem)
