  • Window Motor ...Thanks

I just want to say thanks for everyone that has posted info on how to change out a window motor. I just changed mine in about 30 minutes. Chilton's don't tell you ****. If it had not been for the info here it would have been a *****. so THANKS EVERYONE.

    +1
same here.i did mine the other day and i was a breeze.took alittle bit longer here cause i don;t have a good drill or a big bit,so i had to drill a circle out and cut it out.then a screw was crossthreaded in from the last owner i guess and i couldn't get it out.so i unscrewed the other 2 and started bending and twisting the motor till it broke.then instalation was simple.i think next time i do it i can do it in under 30 minutes as well.

u didnt have to drill just letting u know u could take the 3 speaker bolts out and keep the speaker wires together but move them out of the way so u can put ur hand in the speaker whole that way no drilling. just letting u know for next time. took me 20 mins to do and first time every doing.

huh?? reason i said u can put ur hands in there is so u can take it out and put it back in easily. that way u can get a good hold of it and keep it in place while ur tightening the bolts without drilling holes.

I had to drill. I don't see any other way to get to the rivits. I used this link.
