Not sure what the point of this one is....

... but if it's to say 16 yr olds are not wise, i'll go with that

        Its all about personal preference..

say you got two same cars, same gears, same horsepower..

one is 5speed one is auto.

5speed will eventually pull.. it has one extra gear which means the gearing is better.

2nd gear in an automatic is low.. it takes forever to get out of second in automatic.

i dont know if i explained that too well..

but i perfer stick. its a lot more fun.. and it doesnt necessarily mean you'll be ripped out of the hole by an auto.. some stick drivers just cant drive.

i can launch pretty good with my stick..

GN's must not be that fast because they are autos and hey TTA's too. WOW they do make porsche cars in auto as well. The reason they make them in stick is for fun and driving excitement if you will. I say it doesnt matter get what you like and drive it. Everyone could go back and forth on this. I went the the 10.5 in tire drags in maryland and a lot of the fast cars were auto with high stall. Are there fast manual cars? ohhhh yeah and are they more fun when on the street sure. I love stick shift cars but i love autos as well my stall convertor is just fine and launches really nice. I guess i am bias though  . I say drive what you like and shut up. If someone says differently then they need to stick to their own business. Worry about your own car not someone elses. Later Haters,

my car is auto... at the time I HAD to trade as the tranny was going out of my last car... wanted an F-body and just couldnt find one w/ stick. Auto launchs decent but I know it could do better w/ manual. So wish I was able to find one w/ stick.

Because I value navyblue2000's sanity, I'm moving this to Drivetrain, where it belongs.
