  • How do I install a 180 thermo

    I have no idea how to install this part I just bought, anybody know of a walkthough with pictures? or can somebody explain how to install one?

              The instructions for both the 3.8 and the 3.4 are in the Technical Database. Look at the top of your screen...

                Any one know the Torque setting for a 98 3.8 Thermostat bolts?Rather do it exact & not guess at all.Thanx in adv...

                    21 ft/lbs for the thermostat housing bolts according to the Haynes manual.

                    There's really no excuse for not having one, either the Haynes or the Chiltons. ;)

                      Thanx Funkz got the Haynes & thought I read it right.21 ft-lb seemed a little high for this.Was hoping someone had a factory GM manual to verify,sometimes Haynes manuals have a misprint.Found one on torque settigs on my Fiero.

                        Apparently there is, at least w/ respect to Chiltons. Anybody know if Chiltons is even going to update with the final f-body years? I'm thinking this late after the fact they aren't planning to, but it might be a nice time to also fix all the existing screw-ups.
