question about thermo's

I recently just got a '02 Camaro, and now am looking into changing out the thermo along with intake. I've got two questions though about installation. Which temp thermo (180, 195) is stock in a 2002 model? And where and how do I install this 18k ohm resistor, so to not set off a code? Thanks in advance.

I believe the code is only set if you're using a 160 thermo.

i believe 195 is stock

1997 when i got it, it had 195. i use 160 or 165, i forget what is was, But i have had no problems what so ever.

i think in an 02 you can use a 160* without setting off a code, but correct me if im wrong

from my experience on this board and the experiences of most people who have done it on this board, your wrong but there is always someone who gets away with it
