iv had my car parked for the last 2 weeks or so because of the weather and i went out to start it today and it wouldnt start,so i try to pop the hood to jump it and the handle comes out a bit as usual but the hood doesnt pop or anything.do i need a new cable?how do i get the hood open without one if i do?its been like 9 below here fo the past week im hoping that its just frozen but i have to wait on this crazy weather to warm up to find that out.any help?thanks

try gently hitting the area of the latch after pulling the release and if that doesn't work, try having someone hit it will you continually pulling the release handle.

i still cant get my hood open,but i got it started.i have an 0 guage wire running into my hatch fo my amps,i took the fuses out of the distribution block and jumped it through power cord.and grounded it on my bumper mount with my amp grounds.so now unless my oil light comes on or something the hood can stay down until spring,if it ever gets here.
