I scanned my car the other day and got a history code # 82 which is 82 Ignition control 3X signal error - possible faulty ignition module, crank sensor, camshaft sensor or circuit. could one of these be causing my running rich because i only averaged about 14 MPG tonight and i really need to get it close to normal any help is appreciated big time... thanks....

Re: Could this be my problem?
..yes
I would take that Ignition Control Module into Autozone and get them to test it

Re: Could this be my problem?
anytime you disconnect the crank sensor you need to do a crank relean procedure
I wonder what your timing looks like2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!

Re: Could this be my problem?
no not if it was swapped
if they disconnected the crank sensor you're gonna need a case relearn
using a Tech 2 scanner or HP Tuners or DHP, etc...
crank sensor does timing below 3000 rpms
cam sensor does timing above 3000 rpms
oxygen sensors are one of the main components that adjust fueling and they are recommended to be changed every 60K+ (or more) miles2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! Re: Could this be my problem?
I cant use any of those scanner's because its a 95 (OBDI) so if im running richer in the high rpm's then its my cam sensor because the higher rpms is when i can really see the smoke behind the car.... but it does run slightly rich at idle as well...???? could bad coil pack give the ignition code or anything everything else has been replaced or checked except teh cam and crank sensors...
M O2 sensors are about 800 miles old so it's not those...i dont think lol
also do i absolutly need to do the relearn because i dont have a SES light for it....Last edited by black95maro; 02-11-2007, 11:19 PM.
