I don't think it is serious but i wanted some opinions. My car ticks. It seems to come from the engine when i accelerate and whatnot. Other people I have spoke with swear all the 3.8 engines tick. If that is true I would at least like to know why. If there is any way i could reduce this sound i would like to because it annoys me. reminds me of my old car before it blew up. I have had the car for 10,000 miles now and it still runs strong and the ticking has not changed at all since i got it, it sounds exactly the same. Just looking for ideas.

could be valve tapping which is normal on startup. If you're having it while driving, throw in some of those fluid things you can pick up in Discount Auto or some place like that. Look for something that will help for sticky valves. BTW, where in Florida are ya?
