    My keyless entry just isnt working, and it always worked fine before I took my inner door panel off to check the window motor. Now the Plastic piece where the window and lock switches are is loose. Some time when I shake it back in when the cars off, the horn starts going sometimes. Maybe something in there related to the keyless entry is screwed up? Im trying to sell my car, and this is the last thing I need right now. Anyone have any ideas?

    yeah. the problems are unrelated. When you removed the plastic mount that encases the switching mechanisms, you stressed the clips, so now it won't stay snug bacause they're stretched. Your only recourse is to swap it out for another piece.

    Now your keyless entry is a different story. When you reinstalled your door panel, you didn't quite get the actuator lined up quite right, and now it's not strong enough to push the lock in and out. It's a common problem. You just have to fiddle with it until it works again. It's a giant PITA.

      ok ,I see the problem with the plastic piece, but the keyless entry doesnt work at all. When I hit lock or unlock from in the car, it works fine. yeah, the actuator is a little off but no big deal, I just see less red on it then before. But when I hit unlock from the keyless switch nothing happens. Lights don't come on, nothing. Could it need a new battery? Anything with the wires under the inner powers locks messed up that could affect it? I'm defininetly getting the idea this is a PITA whatever it is.

        Try the cheap stuff first - new batteries from Radio Shack are easy to put in. My dad's keyeless stopped working in his Buick until I replaced the battery. :cool:
