  • 120Mph SPEEDO QUESTION!

    I presently have a 110Mph speedo.

If I change this to a 120Mph speedo what will happen? Will it read slightly less than what the actual speed really is, or more than what the speed is?

    Let me know

    Thanks

It will read that you are going faster than you really are

Why do you say that Cassie?

I was under the impression that the vehicle speed signal was the same for all the gauge clusters...

For example, if I went froma 120-155mph, my speedometer would be correct, but the tach would be wrong, since it is expecting pulses from 8 cylinders instead of 6...

Did they have different speed signals for the 110 and 120mph guages?

        if my thinknig is correct

the half circle type thing that READS the speed you are going is the same length no matter how fast u go..it doesn't make a complete circle. For examply my mom's car goes to 85mph......but it stops ready @ the same point on the dash.....as mine does when it reads 120
ahh....i could be thinking the wrong thing

i think cassie is correct, it would show more by 1-2mph or so if i put the 120MPH in there instead of the 110Mph...
