Hi, I'm not really great at understanding repairs and such, but I love my car and want to help it in any way possible.
I have a 89 camaro RS 2.8 everything stock except exhaust with 114,000 miles. Service engine soon light was on so I got it checked out here's the codes:
22 throttle position sensor to low
42 electronic spark timing problem
34 MAF sensor or circuit too low
I want to have my friend fix these problems (I'm a poor college student and shop just cost too much) but before I go replacing all these parts I have some questions:
What is an EST problem, what needs to be replaced, is it serious.
Does the throttle position sensor and the MAF sensor effect eachother, if I replace one will it fix the other, or do they both need to be replaced?
I've looked online for answers to these questions but I haven't gotten much luck. So any advice would help!!
