i went and had my oil changed cuz i didnt have the time to do it myself,but it feels like it lost power and some pick up,and my oil pressure is higher than normal,anyone know what the problem can be?

It's either in your head, or something else happened to the car. Changing the oil isn't going to slow you down.Matt

Maybe they used a heavier grade oil (20w 50)...? It's has a consistency like syrup and can give a much higher oil pressure reading and make the crank harder to turn, but it's NOT recommended for our engines!!! The viscosity is way too thick! This is why I change the oil myself. I understand that some people don't have the tools or knowledge to do it themselves, but as for me, I don't like someone else having their hands under the hood of my car without me being there.
I would have it changed again immediately and see if the problem goes away.

i didnt have my jack and i needed to get it done,i was over for a change,so i just went and had someone else do it,i believe its...10w 30? but i went out today and had some fun and it seems my oil pressue went down at idle now.but still i dont know what wrong,and yea..getting beat by an suv..hurts bad.lol.
