I took mine off when I pulled my motor for rebuilding... It came off pretty easy with a large 1/2 drive socket... then just use a puller on the pulley. I'm waiting for my new ASP right now.

anyone got any hints on how to remove the alternator pulley since it free spins.....

alternator just take it to autozone or advance auto and they will pull it for you. For the crank i thought you were supose to un bolt the four bolts not the center one? am i doing this wrong?

I used an electric impact wrench to take out the alternator bolt, and just a big breaker bar to get the crank bolts out. 1/2" for the surrounding crank bolts for me, don't remember what the middle one was. It was generally easy, but I'm pretty sure my pulleys kiled my Alternator, because it kiled my voltage then my alternator on my way to LA and made pull over. Cost me $150 for a new one. I do not recommend UD Pulleys for a 3.4 FBody.

have had mine on for a year and no problem. I even got a system in the car with no capicter(sp) and no problems. I have heard several people say that but I think they forget their car is at least 10 years old with the stock alt. when things get old they break.

Did you get the bolts off yet? I did my pulleys (95 3.4) this past weekend. The alt came off with a breaker bar. The crank, I used my impact wrench set at 90 psi. Bolts came off no problem, and they are standard thread. I did soak them in PB blaster before hitting them.

                        Good luck.

I installed a set of ASP pulleys on my 3.4 and i found they were pretty hard on the electrical especially the battery which I had to replace. The voltage level dropped a lot during idle and in the long run I don't think they were worth the small hp gain.
