I suggest do your own brakes.

Imo it seems like people always have so many more problems when they take a car soemwhere.

As for the original poster, your brakes didn't smoke before this? But after they "worked on" your car it does?

You said you stopped the car because it sounded like it was going to stall? You have to let is stall.

This guide I've found works well:

So now it just wont start. It just turns and turns and turns.

I disconnected the battery, and will let that sit for like 15 min or something.

I guess I need a scanner to see what codes are being thrown? But I have OBD 1, or GM's wierd version of 1.5 IDK. And I REALLY don't want to drop like $100-150 for a scanner right now.

This is just so frustrating, becuase it's nearly X-mas and I can't go shopping cause this little can of whatever made my f-body sick =(

I have a code reader, but it's for the OBD II. I haven't had time to read everything above, but is it showing an SES light?

If I were you, I'd pull a spark plug to see if you're getting a spark, then I replace the spark plug wires. If that didn't work, I'd buy a scanner for it.

                ok you got me....

as for a scanner, doubt it will help your issue and cost alot of money.

my dad's car running fine now. we put dry gas in it just to be sure though. your situation sounds really weird. re check the simple things, plug, wires, coil packs, its not the battery right? hmm,the fuel filter on my dads car took me maybe 10 minutes. but yours doesnt have that many miles on it. i dont know what to tell you, do you have a check engine light now? what happens when you turn the key exactly?

I checked all them, except I havent changed the fuel filter, but I don't see how it could be it. It was running alright before I used the seafoam.

I'm about to take it to a shop to get it scanned.......

If it hasn't been checked/replaced, then try it out. You've got nothing to lose.

have you checked the cat?? if the seafoam cleared out a bunch of junk, it coulda blocked the cat... you said it would miss under load.. thats what a cat does (loss of power up hills aka under load)... also, it takes a few minutes for the blocked cat to fill the exhaust pipe with exhaust gas,so it runs good for the first few minutes after sitting for a while. its possible that the battery just died from tryin to start it soo much to fix this. if you can, take off the cat and see if it helps. itll be loud as hell, but it couldnt hurt to try it.

Yeah, I'd definitly check the cat. I SeaFoamed my car a month ago with no problems. Almost no smoke came out of it.. :\ Check your cat though.
