Hey, just bought an ASP crankshaft pulley off summit....anyone know if i'll need a different size belt to install it? Or if i should just buy another one anyhow (car's at 88 thousand miles) Is there any kind of performance belt out there? thanx

As far as replacing them, the only time you need to replace the serp. belt is when it's frayed/cracking, and that can be determined by a quick visual inspection. There are some Gatorback belts that are supposed to reduce slipping, but you need to be careful when going there...don't want to create parasitic loss

If your current belt is frayed/cracking, stock replacement should be more than adequate, however, i'm not sure if it'll be the right size for that fancy new pulley you just boughtLast edited by Smoke Panther; 03-05-2007, 02:37 PM.
