  • help with hesitation

My 3.4L has had hesitation and stumbling every now and then. Sometimes it goes away and sometimes it comes back. I have new plugs, wires, coils, fuel filter. My fuel pressure is good also. Can this be caused by my cat being burned out? It burned out and is hollow now and i replaced the exhaust cat back. Or can this be caused by a faulty EGR valve? Either the cat or the EGR valve would be my guess. Help would be appreciated.

???But try your IAC valve, it may need cleaning or replacing.

I just changed out my spark plugs. I had Bosch platinum plugs and I switched to ac delcos today. The hesitation went away and the car runs really good. Maybe I shouldn't use the platinum plugs again. has anyone ever had problems with platinum plugs?

I've heard a lot of problems crop up with platinums, then there are folks who have no problem and swear by them. I'd suggest just using the AC Delcos, they're cheap and work great in our cars. At least with GM vehicles, you can't go wrong with OEM unless you're looking for performance-oriented applications.
