well, my car is runnin like total s#it!!! it all happened when i was comming off an off-ramp on the highway. i downshifted into second and i felt it lose a lot of power and a very loud exhaust tone that did not sound good at all. well, i took it to autozone, and they scanned it real quick. the code "po138, bank 1 sensor" popped up and also a code for multiple mis-fires. im gonna go get a o2 sensor tomorrow and get it taked care of, all i want to know is, what side is "bank 1"? i also got asked by atleast 3 mechnics if i had changed the spark plugs anytime soon and i did it 2 weekend ago. also i have MSD wired and coils, so i dont think it was an ignition prob. thanks for any help!!!

I'm assuming he means Bank 1, Sensor 3. P0138 is the after-cat oxygen sensor. B1S1 is on the driver side manifold, but B1S3 is after the cat.
If you're getting a flashing SES, it's probably not caused by an O2 sensor. A plug wire or something could have burned through causing it to misfire. Just because you did it a few weeks ago doesn't mean they're ok. Still worth checking in to. ;)

this is what I get from my chilton's book-
Bank 1 HO2S 1 = Driver's side manifold
Bank 2 HO2S 1 = Passenger side manifold.
Bank 1 HO2S 2 = Pre catylitic converter.
Bank 1 HO2S 3 = After catylitic contverter.sigpic
