hey, i have a 95 3.4l camaro with 83k miles and i just did a ton of maitenance work on it. however i dont know much about the timing chain, and i searched the forum to see if i could find any information on it, but i didnt find much. what i want to know is, does this timing chain ever need to be replaced? if so, at about how many miles should i take it into consideration? i know that bad things would happen if it were to break...thanks for the help.

i have 94 3.4 stock with 160000 miles,i change oil every 3000.at 122k i asked dealer mechanic about timing gear.he consulted manual and said said "run it". im considering tearing into ithomer -
I did mine with the rebuild. They are not too expensive and if you have a high-mileage engine, it's one of those things that you may as well do if you are in there with the front timing cover off anyway. its a dodge what do you expect.. especially the caravans, caravans also have tons of transmission problems, ive know sever diffrent people with them. Their trucks also get terriable gas mileage. Dodges are junk, they always have been in the past and by the way its looking always will be.
