Or, what happens when you don't bother changing plugs.
Aside from some Taylor wires, my ignition is bone stock. About 65,000 miles ago I threw in a set of the NGK V-power plugs (not platinum, the regular ones).
Countless autocrosses, track days, and whatnot (probably 30 solid hours of full-throttle racing), I decide to finally change the plugs.
Remember that .060" gap that I put them in with? Well, they were around 0.075" now. The v-groove in the center electrode had worn completely off, with some more erosion on the side electrode. Aside from that, the plugs actually looked pretty decent.
Even with a gap that bag, never had any misfires, car ran great, and all that. Go Go GM Ignition! :banana:
