its located by the idle air control in the air filter duct to the throttle body

its the intake air temp sensor and you not really going to notice anything if its bad. the only thing would be if you shut the car off in 100 deg weather and then started it back up in 60 deg weather it would tke 5 seconds longer to get the proper a/f ratio if you could magicaly start it in closed loop mod
you can test the sensor with an ohm meter. you can find the specs in mitchell on demand or alldata i do believe.
