    Just wondering any difference between 95-97 and 98+ thermostats.

    only reason I ask....

    FYI - My 99 stock T-stat was in fact a 195*, so was a girls 99 t-stat I changed last month. The t-stat she bought from the parts store was a 180* model regardless.

    The tech info on this site says 180* stock for 99 models.

      fitment wise they shoudl be interchangeable. cooling systems/block are identical unless there is something wierd I just happened to miss.

        Wrong, that has to be updated.

        The 95-97 and 98+ are physically different T-stats (at least the ones from a GM dealer) but both are 195F.
