Do you still have that engine?
Was it running well when you removed it?
      Thanks.

Taking the easy way with my work schedule and kids. Found a 3800 used from a 98 'bird with 72k miles for $495, and install for $1195, 101 day warranty.
Anybody with a take on whether that is reasonable? I shopped allot, but lack time to do it myself...
Turned my $4k Catfish into a ~$6k daily driver, I reckon... car is otherwise in excellant shape.

Thanks. I wish I had time and place, plus could involve the 14 year old who wants to learn to drive in it next year...

Brandywine in DC/MD is done with the used engine swap, and I pick her up today.
I guess it went well; when they called, they asked if they could take turns drivin it, didnt know 6bangers could push so well, and like the Borla. I said sure. Seems they drag race on weekends, and got rained out so they worked on my car Sat and got done fast. I can recommend them for customer service, in any event...
The fire didnt damage wires, but they say it did melt some plastic around the heater core. :omg: I know theyre a pain in any car, but Fbods are tight. No leaks during the run test.
Will know more this pm, but am gettin stoked. Once the halos are on and I get plates, will go home to TN to show her off to the good ol boys...
BTW, MD has a plate in various shades of lt blue for the Chesapeake bay with a heron; would it look good on a pewter catfish with chrome SS wheels? Our plain ones are white with Lord Balto's coat-of-arms, and this is $20 mo:
