i cant exactly explain it. when it rains, water just ends up behind the passenger seat, up underneath the passenger seat, in the back bucket part of the back passenger seat, and even sometimes up in front of the passenger seat (but never in the actual seat). my car cannot make it through any rain without it getting soaked inside. there are NO visible signs of a leak, no wet signs other than the floor being saturated in water, and i've ripped out all of the underlying padding because it has been ruined. everytime it rains, at least 10 gallons of water reside in that area of my car. i bought a cover the other day and it is "waterproof." well, not really. water still managed to get in my car, not very much, but water nonetheless. please help me fix this, i can't seem to figure out what the hell is going on, but i could use some advice or help. thx a bunch. btw...no t-tops, no convertable, the windows are all the way up, and i'm not missing any certain paneling around the door areas; this leak just seems to be very secretive and secluded from my vision and the whereabouts are quite uncertain, not too mention that the leak itself is puzzling me quite a bit considering the quantity of water that ends up in my car. i suspect it's leaking through the window, and trickling down the frame of my car, but since i never see any signs of a leak, and nothing is wet BUT the floor, the water could be coming through my damn glovebox for all i know. thx a bunch if you can help me out.

You should check the Hatch Area. I had a leak just like yours on my 86 T/A, and found the culprit! The Rear Hatch Weatherstripping was worn/dryrotted and letting water through . The water made it's way down to the whole back seat area. Also, there was a little area just behind the top of the weatherstripping that had a small cancer hole, which also contributed to my problems.
If you need Weatherstripping for the Hatch, I have a nice used piece that has no cracks. Let me know.

Mine does the same thing but only right in front of the passenger seat to the right of the tranny hump. I cannot figure out where my leak is either.

mine is in the same place viper. just started last storm. i as thinking that it was coming from the same place as the other guy. i had paper towels in the hatch part to help stop vibrations for the subs. and i think it helped the water come up front. when i popped the hatch, a LOT of water hopped out from that crevis. so we'll see tomorrow. its snowing right now. hopefully there will be no water.
