    Not a Camaro 97 Cavilier

    Hey guys, i know its not a Camaro, but i still would like your input.

    My sisters car was messin up, it would have a rough idel. Finally it thru some codes and some lights went on. The codes thrown were P0404 which is something that the EGR valve is stuck open and P1404 which is EGR valve is stuck closed. So im assuming the EGR valve is dirty, i took it off and cleaned it out. Will this fix the problem or should i get a new one for like 150 bucks. I just want to make sure it is the EGR valve. Also, how long would it take for those lights to go off, or should i just go to AutoZone and have them wipe out the code.

    i would just clear it and see if it pops back up before I shell out 150
