Ok, ever since i bought this car i hated how the battery would just wobble around, and how i could not visually check my coolant. Well i took care of all of that today. I have some pics here you can view. My battery is now solid as a rock and not going anywhere. The cheap coolant tank you see is fixing to be replaced with a clear gas tank i ordered which is about the same size, but i think it will fit even better. Oh and yes that is green antifreeze in a 1997! Im really happy with the way this project went. pics are here >>> http://spaces.msn.com/members/Bobbyz...&_c=PhotoAlbum

looks good / great idea, and I like the fact you can see the overflow tube and the amount in the canister without pulling the dipstick ... thanks man, you just gave me a new project.\'97 Firebird 3.8 ... 1/4 mile = 12.50 (minutes)

Thanks, just be careful not to damage any wires with the sharp edges of the freshly cut metal, thats why some of the metal pieces look long and some look short. I looks kinda like a little kid built it looking at the pics, but each one is cut and installed just where i wanted them to be.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261 Green 1997, 105k, all stock except for Z28 front springs, Air shocks in the rear, home made coolant recovery tank, home made battery hold down.
