how do you know if your coil pack is starting to go.

In my case the engine developed a bad misfire. I would press the gas pedal and the car would not want to move, it would just bog down. Turned out one of the three pack was starting to go. I replaced all three because they are quite inexpensive. -

my car just dies then it'll start up again. when it dies , i could hear the fuel pump humming when i turn on the ignition so i don't think its a fuel problem.Comment

your car would have a misfire if it was going out. Dying engine sounds fuel related. Is it at idle or while you are driving?Comment
