I usually use the remote to unlock the doors on my 2000 camaro but I noticed when I unloock the door with my key the damn alarm goes off, why is this and what can I do to stop it?

just an extra security measure. If you get the key in the ignition and into the "run" position within i believe 7 seconds, the alarm won't go off. Otherwise, just open the car with the remote and don't worry about it. -

Yeah, check your owner's manual for "Feature Customization", or something like that. If you can't find it, just look under alarm.
It's just added security, and like they said above, you've got 5-7 seconds to get the key in the ignition and turned to "run".
